Wedding DJ – Create Your Playlist
I know that time can slip away very quickly leading up to your wedding and you may not have the time or desire to sit down and discuss what you would like played during your wedding disco. After being a Wedding DJ for over 6 years, I have taken this into consideration and can now offer your guests the ability to log in to the planning account and request songs for you. Please note they will only have access to a guest portal which will be linked to your account.
You can send your guests a link to a page on my site where they can choose 2 songs each. The best part is that if you don’t like the songs that your guests have asked for you can delete them from within your account. Great hey! Having your guests choose songs for you pretty much guarantees a busy dance floor all night! Of course you are under no obligation to compile a vast music request list. You may prefer to leave it to my judgement on the day.
When planning your evening wedding reception, please discuss your musical preferences with each other. It will give you the perfect opportunity to play music that suits both your personalities. If your tastes differ dramatically – one likes jazz, the other likes disco – then do request both, so how and when they are presented can be considered.
Wedding DJ – First Dance
Your first dance is also a very important decision. Not every couple wants a first dance and the thought of dancing in front of friends and family can be terrifying. If you do, then think about YOUR special songs. Is there a song that was played the night you first met or dated? A song that you both play when you are alone together? Vitally, it should be a song that means something to you both, don’t just pick one at random as you only have one chance to get it right. If your choice is obscure or uncommon, its best to discuss your options with me before the day. Please don’t be shy in asking your wedding DJ anything about your music requests, it is YOUR day and we all want it to be perfect.
Wedding DJ – Early Set Up & Background Music
To help the day flow without interruptions, I can offer an early set up. This means that I can arrive before you and your guests to set up my equipment. You are more than welcome to then utilise it for background music and speeches. I can provide a microphone if needed. Obviously this option is not always viable as the room may need to be changed after your wedding breakfast and this would then be the best time for me to arrive and set up.
Over the years I have worked alongside Wedding Planners and other types of entertainment, such as bands. I am a professional and would prefer to work with other performers than work against them. I have found that a wedding mobile disco and a wedding band works very well indeed.
